Researcher Profile

Amul Bham

Independent systems researcher and engineer investigating how AI infrastructure, information retrieval, and deterministic policy systems converge in production.

Research Focus

My work explores systems where published rules, economic incentives, and computational models meet. Rather than treating software engineering, search mechanics, and policy as siloed domains, I analyze them as structural architectures:

Cybernetics

Feedback, control, and self-organization — the structural conditions under which systems, biological, computational, or social, maintain order without external coordination. Includes the Cognitive Physics framework developed here.

Knowledge Work

How ideas are discovered, developed, and made durable — research on cognition, authorship, and the institutions that shape knowledge work.

AI Systems

Applied research on production AI systems — agent architectures, retrieval, and the operational tradeoffs of running language models at scale.

Essays

Long-form analytical writing — thesis-driven prose on how systems and incentives actually behave.

Methodology

All research papers published here prioritize reproducible systems models, empirical data, and explicit formal protocols over speculative commentary.
